Digital engagement kits are a great way to engage with participants by providing exclusive offers, training plans, discount codes, and many other possibilities to your runners. Please reference our article how to create digital engagement kits to learn how to create a digital engagement kit from scratch.
Digital engagement kits can also be created and viewed in different languages if your event has multiple languages enabled on it. Please refer to our article how do I set up my page to be bilingual to have our support staff enable these settings for you.
You will still need to draft up your kits and cards in your preferred language as the Race Roster platform will not translate any custom copy. Only the default text surrounding your digital engagement kits on your event page will be automatically translated to the selected language. Once these settings are in place, follow the steps below to change the language of your digital engagement kit.
1. From your event dashboard, find your digital engagement kit settings under the add-ons tab from the lefthand side menu.
2. From your digital engagement kit settings, select the kit you'd like to change the default language for and click edit on it to go to your kit settings.
3. From your kit settings, scroll down the page to find the kit language settings. Select the language that you'd like this kit to display in on your event page. Only already-enabled languages on your event page will be available to select. Click save once your language is selected.
Once saved, your translated digital engagement kit will now display by default ONLY when you toggle your event's language to the corresponding language from the top left hand corner.
4. If you wish to have your translated digital engagement kit display on other languages on your event page, return to your digital engagement kit settings and scroll to the bottom of your page under show kit link on event page and toggle on any additional languages you'd like have your translated kit display on.
NOTE: The custom content within your kit will still only display in the language you inserted translated copy for, but the surrounding areas of your event page will be translated any other included languages. If you wish to have the copy within a kit display in a third language, you will need to recreate/duplicate your kit again and insert custom copy in the third language.
