Deferrals can go a long way in keeping the participant connected to your brand and minimizing their disappointment surrounding any changes to their registration. In the case you offer deferrals, please follow this process to properly defer a participant.
For additional deferral options, including setups that can be executed by the participant independently please contact director@raceroster.com. Other deferral options include a paid sub-event with an automatic promo code OR a full event deferral with an email campaign to distribute a code.
1. Login to your dashboard as an Event Organizer.
2. Navigate to the left of your screen to the search box and search and select Participant List.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue View Results button to generate your Participant List.
4. Find the participant you're looking to defer by searching in the search box above the participant list or by scrolling through your list.
5. Once you find the participant, click the Edit button to open the registration edit modal.
6. Scroll through their registration and check off the Deferral check-box. After checking off the box, scroll down and click submit.
Your participant will officially be marked as deferred. To check your Deferrals list:
1. Go to the top of the Participant List page.
2. Click the Display drop-down and select Deferrals.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue View Results button to generate your Deferred Participant List.
4. Your deferred participants will be displayed in yellow.
You can then export that list of deferred participants and add them to a different event.
