How to set up 2 for 1 and family group discounts

When setting up a 2 for 1 group discount, the first thing to note is that the transaction must happen all at once.

The following instructions will demonstrate how to set up group discounts so that the first person pays and the second receives 50% off their registration.

1. Login to your dashboard as an Event Organizer 

2. Navigate to the left of your screen and select 'Settings' > 'Discounts', followed by Group Discounts from the drop-down menu 

3. Click ADD DISCOUNT 

4. Use the checkbox to indicate if the group discount will be used for one or several sub-events. If the group discount is applicable to all sub-events, leave the checkbox unchecked.

5. Select the discount type Percentage Rate

6. Add the discount amount 50 in the box provided. This will allow you to give 50% off to the second individual.

7. Set Date Limits? (optional)- Set a start and end date of when you would like the discount to run

8. Enable Registrant Limits for Discounts by checking off the box and entering

• Minimum number: 2
• Maximum number: 2

9. Apply to specific participants by checking off the box and entering

• Start at Registrant: 2
• End at Registrant: 2

Family Discount

When setting up a family group discount, the first thing to note is that the transaction must happen all at once.

The following instructions will demonstrate how to set up group discounts so that the first person pays and the second to fourth receives 100% off their registration.

NOTE: You must set up a family registration sub-event for this setup.

1. Login to your dashboard as an Event Organizer 

2. Navigate to the left of your screen and select 'Settings' > 'Discounts', followed by Group Discounts from the drop-down menu 

3. Click ADD DISCOUNT 

4. Use the checkbox to indicate if the group discount will be used for the family sub-event you have already created.

5. Select the discount type Percentage Rate

6. Add the discount amount 100 in the box provided. This will allow you to give 100% off to the second individual.

7. Set Date Limits? (optional)- Set a start and end date of when you would like the discount to run

8. Enable Registrant Limits for Discounts by checking off the box and entering

• Minimum number: 4
• Maximum number: 4

9. Apply to specific participants by checking off the box and entering

• Start at Registrant: 2
• End at Registrant: 4
