Scheduled pricing: Prices set on sub-events that update based on dates (i.e., tiered pricing, to incentivize early registration).
The steps below are best used after you have set up your sub-events.
Set-up
1. Navigate to the search bar in the top lefthand menu and search and click Pricing. If you have to set up your sub-events, please follow this link for instructions.
2. Click the create pricing strategy and button and select add scheduled pricing
3. Select the sub-events that you would like to apply the fixed pricing
4. Select if you would like to apply these optional features:
- Show elapsed prices on event details page
- Show time until next price on event details page
Determine the schedule date ranges and pricing
5. Enter the first date range price
NOTE: By default, the price start date will be the time and day selected for registration open.
6. Click + Add date range to enter the next tier price
7. Enter the price start date and time and enter the new price point
8. Continue to add price points by using the green "+ Add date range" button
9. As you fill in the date range prices, you can keep track of the dates and price increases at the bottom of the page in the pricing strategy summary
10. Click the blue "Save & exit" button once the scheduled pricing is complete
Pro Tips:
1. Use the advanced options for the following actions
- Set custom start date price point (only applicable for the first price point) - The registration start date (established in the event info page of the dashboard) is the default effective date of all pricing strategies. However, you may want to delay the "opening" of a specific sub-event that uses a scheduled pricing strategy. If so, use this setting to set a new date and time as the start date. The sub-event will be closed until the custom start date for that first price point within the schedule.
- Set custom close date for this price point - The default close date for the price point will be 1 second prior to the next price point open. If you select to add a custom close date, this will create a gap in your registration---meaning, there will be a time, between the two price points, when online registration for the applicable sub-event will be closed.
2. If your event has Single Prominent Pricing (SPP) enabled, you can use the "Description" field to show your participants a breakdown of the sub-event base price and the applicable fees.
When the "Show pricing" checkbox is selected, all text in the "Description" field will be displayed in two locations:
- under the Registration fees section of the event details page, just below the Price
- within the Sub-event radio button (or drop down menu) in the registration form
