By registering for events using Race Roster and agreeing to the terms and conditions of each transaction, an event registrant is automatically consenting to receive CRM email campaigns as a contact in your organization. You can ascertain this by visiting the Contacts page in your organization and searching for any recently-acquired contact (i.e., someone who registered for one of your organization's events for the first time).
The status "Subscribed" (sometimes with a specified effective date) means that the contact is eligible to receive CRM email campaigns created in the organization. The status "Unsubscribed" means that the contact will not receive organization emails, even if they appear on a contact report selected for a CRM email campaign.
Actions can be taken by you or by the contact in order to change the status.
1. You, as organization staff, can use the contact bulk update tool to change the statuses of multiple contacts.
- To learn how, follow the steps in our article Using the bulk update tool in Race Roster CRM
2. The contact can use the subscription preference centre to unsubscribe from your organization emails, or contact us at Race Roster to re-subscribe.
- The contact can learn more from our article Managing my subscription status to organization emails
