By registering for events using Race Roster and agreeing to the terms and conditions of each transaction, you are allowing us and the event organizers to reach out with certain email notifications powered by our platform. Below, we outline the types of emails you may receive and explain the process by which you may unsubscribe where applicable.
Please note: With your consent, event organizers may additionally reach out to you using their in-house email managers, SMS messaging systems, or third party platforms such as Mailchimp and Zapier. Such notifications fall outside the scope of this article. Please reach out to the organizer should you have questions on that topic.

System emails from events are typically one-time notifications. They serve to indicate that a transaction of funds or data has occurred, or needs to occur, and are an essential element of delivering the service promised upon. As such, they do not feature unsubscribe functionality.
Issuing or receiving a (bib) transfer registration? Please note both our nomenclature for email subject lines and the domain (@raceroster.com, https://raceroster.com). Transfers occurring on the Race Roster platform are never sent by a third party nor request for payment outside of Race Roster. If you have received a transfer request and are suspicious of the sender or shared links, please contact us at 1-855-969-5515 or forward the email to support@raceroster.com.

Courtesy emails from events serve to inform you that a transaction of funds or data has been completed by someone else, related to your own registrations. For example, you may be a team captain, or be participating in a fundraising campaign, and hence be notified of new team registrants or donations. To stop receiving these types of courtesy emails, for all events, click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email and select "Unsubscribe from all event level notifications sent from Race Roster." See screenshot below.

They may also confirm your registration, donation, fundraising goal achievement, and the like. They are part of delivering the service promised upon during the transaction. As such, they do not feature unsubscribe functionality.

Promotional emails from events constitute marketing by seeking new, unsolicited transactions or communicating information beyond the strictly necessary. Announcing a registration launch, warning about an upcoming price increase, promoting a third party's limited time offer, prompting for event merchandise purchases---all such email campaigns constitute marketing. To stop receiving these types of promotional emails, on a per-event basis, click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email and select "Unsubscribe from all promotional and marketing emails sent from therunner@raceroster.com on behalf of the event."
