About Single Prominent Pricing
A “Single Prominent Price” (SPP) is a display price that includes all pricing components required by local law. SPP type laws have been introduced in multiple states across the US, with more being added in the next year. We currently support SPP in the following regions:
- California - SB-478 (required)
- Colorado - HB24-1378 (required)
- Connecticut - SB1058 (required)
- Maryland - SB0539 (required)
- Minnesota - HF3438 (optional until Dec 2, 2024)
- Tennessee - SB1043 (required)
For regions where SPP is required, configured sub-event prices on participant facing pages will be replaced with display prices calculated with the following components:
- sub-event price
- additional charges applicable to the sub-event
- required products
- additional charges applicable to the required products
- Race Roster processing fees
For regions where SPP is optional, each event can choose if and when to enable SPP for their participant facing pages.
Single Prominent Pricing tab
The Single Prominent Pricing tab can be found within the Pricing settings page. This tab will allow applicable regions to enable SPP on their participant facing pages. For both optional and mandatory regions, this tab will list out all of an event’s configured sub-event prices and the corresponding Single Prominent Price.
This page can be used as a cheatsheet to determine what price should be advertised on any custom content not generated by Race Roster. For example, your website, email campaigns, marketing materials, or social media.
To navigate to the Single Prominent Price tab, please follow the steps below.
1. From your event’s dashboard, click on Settings -> Pricing from the left hand side menu.
2. Click on the Single Prominent Pricing tab from your Pricing settings.
3. All of your sub-event prices will appear, grouped by their pricing strategy type (fixed, scheduled, or block). "SPP price" is the Single Prominent Price calculated by Race Roster for the applicable sub-event. The Set price is the price configured by you for the sub-event.
4. For regions where SPP is optional, you will have the option to turn on or off SPP on your participant facing pages using the toggle.
