For any event organizers wishing to include a colored background and border to their event waivers to mimic the styling of typical ski/winter activity waivers, this easy workaround will help accomplish that. Please note that digital accessibility may be altered or diminished with the use of colored backgrounds.
To learn how to add coloured backgrounds and borders to your event waiver, please follow the steps below.
Adding Background Color
1. From your event dashboard, click on settings -> waivers from the lefthand side menu.
2. From your waiver settings, click the green add waiver button to begin creating a new waiver.
3. From your waiver's WSYIWIG (powered by Froala), add a 1x1 table.
4. Click into the table for the table menu to appear.
5. Choose the Cell Background option from the menu.
6. Select a colour from the menu or enter the HEX color code. Press OK.
7. You will then have a table with the background colour of your choice. You can then paste in the content that needs the background colour.
Adding a Border
Adding a border colour to a table requires updating CSS within the WYSIWYG editor.
1. Choose the ‘code view’ button within the editor menu.
2. Locate the ‘td style’ section for the cell you would like to style with a border
a) Example with no background colour
b) Example with a background colour
3. Add the following css within the quotation marks of the td style: ‘ border:2px solid red; ’
a) 2px: this references the width of the border, in this example 2 pixels. Size can be increased or decreased
b) Solid: the type of border being applied
c) Red: the colour being applied. Can be plain text (like ‘red’), rgb (like the background colour example) or hex codes (such as “#FF5733”)
4. Click save once complete. Your waiver will now display both the colored background, as well as the red border.
