How to Duplicate Awards Across Events

Timers on Race Roster can create custom awards within the results dashboard for various races. For any timers who time and manage multiple events on Race Roster, our new automated awards duplication process allows you to easily recreate and reuse awards across your different events without having to manually recreate them on each event. If you have not yet created awards on Race Roster, please reference our support article How to Create and Assign Awards. 

To learn how to duplicate awards across your events, please follow the steps below. 

1. From your event dashboard, click on Add-Ons -> Results from the lefthand side menu. 

2. From your results dashboard, click on the Add new race button, followed by Duplicate race from previous event. 

3. Select the event that you'd like to duplicate races and awards from. 

4. Select which races you'd like to duplicate to your existing event. Any races that only have one single award assigned to it will be available to duplicate along with the race by clicking the Include awards checkbox within the race. Click Duplicate in the bottom righthand corner to

Note: Awards can only be included in duplication if the award is assigned to ONE race. Any awards that are assigned to more than one race will not be available for duplication (see 2nd image below). 

5. After duplication, you will find a copy of all of the selected races within your results dashboard, as well as all duplicated awards within the Awards tab. Awards can be edited further if desired within the Awards tab. 

Things to Note:

• Awards can only be included in duplication if the award is assigned to ONE race. Any awards that are assigned to more than one race will not be available for duplication.
• If a duplicated award is restricted to a particular awards group or gender that has not yet been created on the new event, they will automatically be created and added to the event upon duplication.
• Some award settings may refer to specific custom values found in the original results set, which can be duplicated, but will require the forthcoming results set in the event to include the custom values. 
• Give a quick review to your duplicated award settings to ensure they meet all criteria for your new event after duplicating.
